Why switch to a Permanent, Washable, Electrostatic Filter today?

1. Better for your wallet
How much do you pay for your air filters? A disposable filter that's comparable to our permanent filter costs around $15.00 - $20.00. Most people use at least 4 filters per year. That means that our filters pay for themselves in about a year. They also provide great protection for the most expensive appliance in your house, your HVAC unit. Our customers also appreciate the convenience of not having to remember to buy that filter every month or searching around town for that weird size that no one seems to carry.
-
2. Better for your health
Your home should be a haven from the dust and allergens around us. Our filters are designed to do just that. Most of our filters are rated at MERV 6 to MERV 9. These ratings have to do with the size and amount of particulates that the filter captures. Our filters trap all of the common allergy triggers like pollen and pet dander. Many of our customers report a noticeable reduction of dust in their homes and less allergy symptoms after switching to our filters.

3. Better for the environment
If you're like most folks, you probably never think about throwing away that disposable air filter every month or so. But think about the people on your street, in your county and in your state all doing the same thing. Think about a small city of 100,000 people. If you were to collect the disposable air filters thrown away every month by the people in that city and stack them up, it would reach the height of 6 Empire State Buildings. Permanent filters reduce the amount of waste going to our landfills.
Why buy your new filter from NeverBuyAnotherFilter.com?
Hello from the beautiful Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. My name is Scott Abbes, managing partner of NeverBuyAnotherFilter.com. We have been in the permanent, washable air filter business for 20+ years. Over those years we have learned that not all of these filters are created equal. Our filters have a proven track record for great filtration, high durability and easy maintenance. Other companies build permanent filters that are too restrictive or don't hold up over the years. We have sold hundreds of thousands of these filters and we are experts in the permanent, washable, electrostatic filter field. In fact, that's all we do. We put our money and reputation where our mouth is by offering a lifetime warranty with every filter purchase. We love talking filters so feel free to contact us with any questions before you purchase. We want you to be 100% confident in our products before (and long after) you purchase.

No Electricity Needed
All of our filters are electrostatic. That means they trap and hold dust and allergens by creating a static charge as air passes through them. However, they do not require any electricity or batteries. The static charge occurs naturally as the air contacts the special polypropylene media layers in the filter. The filter holds the particles until it is cleaned.

A/C Filter or Furnace Filter
Our filters are drop-in replacements for the disposable filters in your home. Depending on where you live in the country, you may refer to these filters as air filters, a/c filters, furnace filters or HVAC filters. Our filters are all of the above. They work great in heat pumps and split or package units.
-
Maintenance Schedule
Our filters are designed with high dust loading capacities which reduces the frequency of cleaning. We recommend vacuuming the filter off every 30-45 days and washing them with water every 3-4 months. To check the filter's condition, hold it up to a light source and check the translucency.

Dust Arrestance vs. Air Resistance
When buying an air filter, you have to weigh the benefits of trapping dust against the issues of creating too much air resistance. A filter that is too restrictive can cause your electric bill to rise and shorten the life of your HVAC unit. Our filters have a good balance between the two. They provide excellent dust arrestance while not being overly restrictive like some other brands of permanent filters. We also have filters that lean more towards low air resistance and others that excel at dust capture. Feel free to contact us for more info in picking the right filter for you.

MERV vs FPR vs MPR
The MERV rating system was established in 1987 by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers). It is the only system of measuring a filter's ability to trap particulates that is nationally regulated and is considered the standard by filter industry professionals. FPR is a filter rating system recently created by The Home Depot. MPR is a filter rating system created by the 3M/Filtrete brand of filters. Our permanent filters are rated at MERV 8 or 9. That's comparable to an FPR rating of 5 or an MPR rating of 600.

How to Clean & Maintain
Our permanent filters are easy to clean. They can be cleaned with water, with a vacuum or air washed with an air compressor. We recommend vacuuming the filter off every 30-45 days and washing it with water every 3-4 months. No special cleaners are generally needed. However, if the filter is exposed to cigarette smoke or cooking fumes, a mild degreaser can be sprayed on the dirty side of the filter and then hosed off thoroughly from the clean side of the filter. The filter can also be washed in a tub or shower. We do not recommend washing it in a dishwasher as the excessive heat will damage the media in the filter.
