It's difficult to make a washable filter that is rated as high as MERV 9 without making it too restrictive...but we have done it. Working with our manufacturer and using decades of experience in the washable filter industry, we designed this filter from the ground up in 2019. We know what customers are looking for so we used quality materials like a thick-gauge aluminum frame, corrugated screens and a special weave of polypropylene. If dust arrestance is your biggest concern, throw away your last disposable filter and switch to a MaxMERV9 filter.

The MaxMERV9 is our newest filter design, using the latest polypropylene weave technology to achieve a MERV 9 rating. That is the highest MERV rating given to any permanent, washable filter on the market today. We did not cut corners in developing the MaxMERV9. It features a super strong and lightweight aluminum frame and corrugated grid with double rivets and extra drain holes. This filter has a slightly higher air resistance rating but still provides better airflow than most quality pleated disposable filters. Like all of our filters, it develops a natural electrostatic charge as air passes through the media layers. This static charge captures and holds onto dust particles until the filter is cleaned. Designed for residential use, the frame is durable enough to be used in commercial or industrial applications. If you are looking for a permanent, washable filter that will capture the most dust and trap the smallest particles, the MaxMERV9 is your choice.

Are your filters available in my size?

Are permanent filters too restrictive?

Some early permanent filters were very restrictive and gave the product a bad reputation in some cases. Some HVAC contractors still tell their customers that all permanent filters are bad.

However, not all permanent filters are created equal. Like any type of filter, there is a balance between dust arrestance and air resistance. Our filters have very low air resistance.

Even our most restrictive filters are no more so than a good pleated disposable filter.

How long will your filters last?

With proper maintenance, you can expect your permanent filter to last at least as long as your HVAC unit. Some of our customers have been using their filters for over 15 years and counting.

Do your filters require electricity?

No. All of our filters are electrostatic. They have special polypropylene media layers that build a natural static charge as air passes through the filter. The charge is broken and the dust is released when the filter is cleaned.

A better filter?

I replaced my 25 year old filter with this new one. They appear similar but this new filter is not as heavy or of the same quality of my older filters. I’m sure they’ll work, but may not be as durable. I love the concept of these filters, and the reusable nature of them.

Too soon to review long term but manufacturing quality is there.

Good ship time, box and filter had a couple dings but nothing to affect fit and function. Quality of materials is good, and well thought out design. I’ve only had the two filters in place for 10 days so too soon for a review. Send me the review request again in a couple of months and we’ll get down to details. BTW I’m ordering one for my daughter tonight.

Easy to clean

I’ve had this filter for a few months now. It is easy to clean, I blow the dust out carefully with an air compressor.
Filter media is loose in the frame and can pop out during handling of you’re not careful
