Description

The MaxMERV9 is our newest filter design, using the latest polypropylene weave technology to achieve a MERV 9 rating.  That is the highest MERV rating given to any permanent, washable filter on the market today.  We did not cut corners in developing the MaxMERV9.  It features a super strong and lightweight aluminum frame and corrugated grid with double rivets and extra drain holes.  This filter has a slightly higher air resistance rating but still provides better airflow than most quality pleated disposable filters.  Like all of our filters, it develops a natural electrostatic charge as air passes through the media layers.  This static charge captures and holds onto dust particles until the filter is cleaned.  Designed for residential use, the frame is durable enough to be used in commercial or industrial applications.  If you are looking for a permanent, washable filter that will capture the most dust and trap the smallest particles, the MaxMERV9 is your choice.

Some early permanent filters were very restrictive and gave the product a bad reputation in some cases. Some HVAC contractors still tell their customers that all permanent filters are bad.

However, not all permanent filters are created equal. Like any type of filter, there is a balance between dust arrestance and air resistance. Our filters have very low air resistance.

Even our most restrictive filters are no more so than a good pleated disposable filter.

With proper maintenance, you can expect your permanent filter to last at least as long as your HVAC unit. Some of our customers have been using their filters for over 15 years and counting.

No. All of our filters are electrostatic. They have special polypropylene media layers that build a natural static charge as air passes through the filter. The charge is broken and the dust is released when the filter is cleaned.
