Description

You invested a lot of expense in a geothermal HVAC system.  One big factor was probably the cost savings.  Then you learned that the filters for these systems cost an arm and a leg.  Even though only about 1% of HVAC systems are geothermal, we sell a lot of these filters every day.  Why?  Because they pay for themselves in about a year, they trap all major allergens and they are environmentally friendly.  Its' a win-win-win.  These specific filters are also designed with low air resistance for geothermal systems.

Stop throwing your money away.  Our GEOTHERMAL permanent filters are designed to work with WaterFurnace, Bryant, Carrier, ClimateMaster, Bosch, Florida Heat Pump, GeoFinity & others.  They feature minimal air resistance and extra strength to accommodate their large size. The filter uses a mill-finished aluminum frame to enclose an electrostatic media pack. The patented media pack design places two layers of  polypropylene mesh around one layer of air-laid polyester media, and these layers are surrounded by two layers of expanded metal. The pack is then corrugated which increases the material surface area thereby allowing greater dust holding capacity and efficiency at an exceptional pressure drop. The height of the pack is made to fit firmly inside the frame giving the filter strength and durability. The frame is made with mitered corners and is secured with pop-rivets. The frame has drain holes in three corners  The pleated design allows for 30% more air flow to reduce resistance.  The filter develops an electrostatic charge that acts like a dust and allergen magnet.  These filters are drop-in replacements for the expensive disposable filters.  No retro-fitting and no electricity needed.  You will be impressed with the quality and performance of this great filter.  Please note that these filters have a nominal and an exact (or actual) size.  For example, your filter may have 30x36x1 written on it.  However, when you measure the filter you find it is actually 29-1/2 x 35-3/4 x 1 inches.  So, we recommend that you physically measure your current filter and then find that size in the drop-down menu above.  If your size is not listed, please choose the Custom option and enter the size you need in the box. We can make any size in 1/8 inch increments (W and L).

PLEASE NOTE:  These filters are extremely popular and production takes about 3 weeks.

Some early permanent filters were very restrictive and gave the product a bad reputation in some cases. Some HVAC contractors still tell their customers that all permanent filters are bad.

However, not all permanent filters are created equal. Like any type of filter, there is a balance between dust arrestance and air resistance. Our filters have very low air resistance.

Even our most restrictive filters are no more so than a good pleated disposable filter.

With proper maintenance, you can expect your permanent filter to last at least as long as your HVAC unit. Some of our customers have been using their filters for over 15 years and counting.

No. All of our filters are electrostatic. They have special polypropylene media layers that build a natural static charge as air passes through the filter. The charge is broken and the dust is released when the filter is cleaned.
