"We love the GOLD filter. We've been selling this filter for 20 years. It has a very strong aluminum, mitered frame that is screwed together instead of riveted. It has 2 layers of polypropylene, a MERV 8 rating and great airflow. It features a great balance of high dust arrestance and low air resistance. The only downside is it's not available in sizes below 10 inches or above 30 inches."

Our GOLD filter features a great balance of high dust arrestance and low air resistance. This heavy duty filter has some unique features. The premium quality extruded aluminum, gold anodized frame has a durable and attractive finish. The frame is made from 4 individual sections that are screwed together, not riveted like most filters. This frame is ideal for larger filters since is resists flexing. This filter is used in many homes across the country but is heavy-duty enough to be used in commercial or industrial applications. The media in the GOLD filter is comprised of 2 layers of woven polypropylene surrounding 1 layer of self-charging polyester. The layers work together to create a natural electrostatic charge as air passes through them. This charge captures and holds dust and allergens until it is cleaned. You will not be disappointed in the quality and performance of the GOLD filter.

No. All of our filters are electrostatic. They have special polypropylene media layers that build a natural static charge as air passes through the filter. The charge is broken and the dust is released when the filter is cleaned.
