MERV 14 HealthSmart Refillable Filter - Permanent Frame With (4) Media Replacement Pads

The HealthSmart Filter is a hybrid filter that has a permanent lifetime aluminum frame with replaceable pleated filter media pads that are changed every 90 days.  This next-generation air filter is unlike anything you've seen before, so unique that it has been awarded two United States patents.  The replacement pads are custom-cut to fit in the frame (no scissors.) This listing is for (1) custom-made 1 inch thick aluminum frame and (4) pre-cut replacement pads.  This will provide 1 year of filtration for your home or business.

This filter is rated at MERV 14.  It will remove harmful airborne particles like dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, dust mite debris, smoke, bacteria and viruses.  This helps reduce allergy symptoms, prevent respiratory issues, and promote overall well-being for everyone in the home. 

It also includes a patented gasket that prevents air bypass.  The gasket is available in rubber or brush material.  The rubber gasket is used for filters that are installed in a wall or ceiling grille.  The brush gasket is used for filters that slide into a slot, usually near the HVAC unit.  You can choose your gasket type during the ordering process.

Your HealthSmart filter frame is made of aluminum alloy, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly air filter option. It is 1 inch thick.  You can re-use your HealthSmart filter frame for the lifespan of your AC unit, simply replacing the filter pads as you go. No cardboard means less waste and more trees.

The pleated filter media pad is not washable and should be changed out every 90 days.

MEDIA - The HealthSmart MicroSponge filter has a unique blend of polymers to create a high, stable active charge on every fiber of the air filter. This charge causes pollutants to stick to it like a magnet to steel. The charged fibers of these pleated air filters do not have to be woven as tightly as in ordinary filters; as a result, they will not restrict airflow. MicroSponge filters have the highest efficiency and the lowest pressure drop of any charged media globally.

AVAILABLE CARBON OR ZEOLITE INSERTS - During the ordering process, you will have the option of adding an odor-control layer of either carbon or zeolite media.  What is the difference between activated carbon and zeolite?  Activated carbon filters utilize millions of small pores on the filter's surface to trap and remove gases and odors. These filters are ideal for removing common household odors such as cooking smells, cigarette smoke, and more.   In contrast, Zeolite filters are composed of a micro-porous natural mineral that has been fused with polyester. They are particularly effective in removing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and gases, and excel at eliminating odors such as pet urine and ammonia.  These inserts are optional, not required.  You can add one of these inserts during the ordering process.  They come in packs of 2.
