Description

Our SILVER series is our most popular 2 inch filter.  It is occasionally used in residential settings but is most common in commercial or light industrial applications.  This filter has many happy buyers, including fleets of oil tankers, NASA, Boeing, US Coast Guard and McDonald's.  Two-inch disposable filters are getting very expensive and many facilities managers are seeing the cost benefit of switching to washable filters.  One well-known University switched 600 of their 2 inch filters from disposable to washable and saw a cost savings of $400,000.00 over 5 years.  Email me and we can run the numbers for your facility.

This 2-INCH THICK filter features 3-Stages of filtration, high dust holding capacity and low air resistance.  These qualities make it a perfect replacement for expensive disposable filters in residential and commercial system. Actual thickness is 1-3/4 inches.  The actual air resistance rating of 0.12" WG is lower than most disposable filters.  Available here in sizes up to 1200 sq inches.  (Contact us for sizes over 1200 sq inches.)  This filter contains layers of polypropylene that develop an electrostatic charge as air passes through the filter.  This charge attracts and holds particulates until it is cleaned.  It is a drop-in replacement for your 2 Inch thick disposable filter requiring no electricity or housing retrofitting.  The filter can be cleaned by vacuuming or with water every 4-6 weeks.

This filter is 1-3/4 inch thick

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Our permanent filters are available in standard and custom sizes. We offer 12 different filter types to fit most needs.

Give us a call or send us an email. We can help you choose the filters that's best in your application.

Some early permanent filters were very restrictive and gave the product a bad reputation in some cases. Some HVAC contractors still tell their customers that all permanent filters are bad.

However, not all permanent filters are created equal. Like any type of filter, there is a balance between dust arrestance and air resistance. Our filters have very low air resistance.

Even our most restrictive filters are no more so than a good pleated disposable filter.

With proper maintenance, you can expect your permanent filter to last at least as long as your HVAC unit. Some of our customers have been using their filters for over 15 years and counting.

No. All of our filters are electrostatic. They have special polypropylene media layers that build a natural static charge as air passes through the filter. The charge is broken and the dust is released when the filter is cleaned.
