Description

This 2-INCH THICK filter features 3-Stages of filtration, high dust holding capacity and low air resistance.  These qualities make it a perfect replacement for expensive disposable filters in residential and commercial system. Actual thickness is 1-3/4 inches.  The actual air resistance rating of 0.12" WG is lower than most disposable filters.  Available here in sizes up to 1200 sq inches.  (Contact us for sizes over 1200 sq inches.)  This filter contains layers of polypropylene that develop an electrostatic charge as air passes through the filter.  This charge attracts and holds particulates until it is cleaned.  It is a drop-in replacement for your 2 Inch thick disposable filter requiring no electricity or housing retrofitting.  The filter can be cleaned by vacuuming, using compressed air or backwashing with water every 4-6 weeks.

Yes. You can find the MERV ratings for each filter in the Product Description section on the product page. You can also find the MERV rating in the comparison chart on the COMPARE FILTERS page.

Some early permanent filters were very restrictive and gave the product a bad reputation in some cases. Some HVAC contractors still tell their customers that all permanent filters are bad. However, not all permanent filters are created equal. Like any type of filter, there is a balance between dust arrestance and air resistance. Our filters have very low air resistance. Even our most restrictive filters are no more so than a good pleated disposable filter.

No electricity is required. All of our filters are electrostatic. They have special polypropylene media layers that build a natural static charge as air passes through the filter. The charge is broken and the dust is released when the filter is cleaned.

Please check out our COMPARE FILTERS chart. In addition, feel free to CONTACT US. We can help you choose the filters that's best in your application. We try to reply in 1 hour or less.

With proper maintenance, you can expect your permanent filter to last at least as long as your HVAC unit. Some of our customers have been using their filters for over 15 years and counting.

Cleaning is simple and easy. We recommend vacuuming the dust off the filter every month and then backwashing with water every 2-3 months. We also offer an ELECTROSTIC FILTER CLEANER to clean the filter more thoroughly.

While permanent filters have a higher upfront cost, they save money over time. Most customers recoup their investment within 1 year.

Yes! By switching to permanent filters, you eliminate the need for disposable filters that end up in landfills. Our filters are made from sustainable materials and can be used for years, making them an eco-friendly choice for your home.
