Our Aluminum Moisture Mist Eliminator Filters are engineered for high-performance filtration in environments where oil mist, water droplets, and airborne moisture must be effectively removed. Built from corrosion-resistant 3003H aluminum with a multi-layered expanded media core, these filters deliver superior durability, airflow efficiency, and long-lasting performance.

Application: Our Moisture Separator is an impingement type panel filter that serves two important functions: its primary purpose is to collect large water droplets and oil mist from the airstream and divert the liquid to an appropriate drain. Its secondary function is as a heavy duty washable particulate filter. Built for use in outside air ducts, side access housings and built-up filter banks. Other applications include chilled water coils and mist-type humidifiers. Our Moisture Separator filter is designed for higher airflow velocities. It performs best in a system running at no more than 10% above or below its rated velocity of 500 fpm. It has been independently tested to by over 99% efficient on water droplets measuring 3 microns and larger.

Construction: Our Moisture Separator filter uses a 24-gauge metal frame to enclose the media pack consisting of multiple layers of corrugated and flat screen wire positioned for efficient drainage. The pack is then placed between two layers of expanded metal, and is made to fit firmly inside the frame giving it exceptional strength and durability.  The bottom of the filter has 3/8” diameter drain holes and the top is identified with proper positioning for drainage and airflow. The frame is made with mitered corners and is secured with pop-rivet(s).

Production on these filters takes about 3 weeks.

Mist eliminators are specially designed filters that remove visible oil vapor from the air stream of vents in lubricating oil systems of large, high-speed rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, turbo compressors, turbo generators, reciprocating engines, high speed couplings and gear boxes. They are constructed using metal mesh media in a stainless steel, galvanized, or aluminum frame. The mesh is arranged in layers with corrugations, angles, and crisscross patterns that effectively capture liquid contaminants. As air passes through, droplets are collected on the mesh surface and diverted to drains for removal. Mist eliminators protect critical equipment like gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, generators, engines, and gearboxes from damage and contamination caused by oil vapor and other liquid mists in the ventilation systems. The specific mist eliminator design is chosen based on droplet size. Wire mesh demisters work best for smaller mist particles, while vane-type eliminators are more effective for larger droplets of 20 microns or more. In continuous process industries where downtime is unacceptable, mist eliminators are essential for removing hazardous liquid contaminants from process air emissions and ensuring reliable, uninterrupted operation. We offer both standard sizes and hard to find “custom sizes” as well as 3 different alloys to choose from. Bulk discounts available. Great for RTU’s, Economizers, Chillers and units as low as 2 Tons.  Made in the USA.

Yes. You can find the MERV ratings for each filter in the Product Description section on the product page. You can also find the MERV rating in the comparison chart on the COMPARE FILTERS page.

Some early permanent filters were very restrictive and gave the product a bad reputation in some cases. Some HVAC contractors still tell their customers that all permanent filters are bad. However, not all permanent filters are created equal. Like any type of filter, there is a balance between dust arrestance and air resistance. Our filters have very low air resistance. Even our most restrictive filters are no more so than a good pleated disposable filter.

No electricity is required. All of our filters are electrostatic. They have special polypropylene media layers that build a natural static charge as air passes through the filter. The charge is broken and the dust is released when the filter is cleaned.

Please check out our COMPARE FILTERS chart. In addition, feel free to CONTACT US. We can help you choose the filters that's best in your application. We try to reply in 1 hour or less.

With proper maintenance, you can expect your permanent filter to last at least as long as your HVAC unit. Some of our customers have been using their filters for over 15 years and counting.

Cleaning is simple and easy. We recommend vacuuming the dust off the filter every month and then backwashing with water every 2-3 months. We also offer an ELECTROSTIC FILTER CLEANER to clean the filter more thoroughly.

While permanent filters have a higher upfront cost, they save money over time. Most customers recoup their investment within 1 year.

Yes! By switching to permanent filters, you eliminate the need for disposable filters that end up in landfills. Our filters are made from sustainable materials and can be used for years, making them an eco-friendly choice for your home.
